[RoW] Elf Ranger Substution - Drow Ranger

Hi,

Has anyone here made a Ranger Substitution class for the Drow similar to what was done for the Elf Ranger in Races of Wild? I'm thinking the change in HD/Class skills/skillpoints can be the same for both. But what would you replace the Elf foe/Elven Hound/Strongheart Slayer Abilities with for a Drow Ranger?

Hmm, I don't yet have RoW. If you send me a write up of the Elf Ranger subclass levels I'll reply with a Drow version. >.<

Skill points : 8
Class skill : Balance
1st - Elf Favored Enemy
4th - Elven Hound Companion
10th - Stronghear Slayer (Replace 3rd Favored Enemy)

Elf Favored Enemy - Bonus +3 if you choose Orc, Undead, or Servants of Lolth (drow, driders, monstrous spiders) : this applies to all levels of favored enemies.
Strongheart Slayer - +4 morale bonus on will saves vs. Drow/Drider Spell/spell like abilities. +4 morale bonus on Fort saves vs. Monstrous Spider poison.

I don't think there shuld be one, except for Eberron where drow ar no longer underground dwellers.

There is not (and shouldn't be IMO) racial substitution levels for classes that don't have an inherent affinity tot he race.

Standard elves are very much nature oriented so racial substituion levels for ranger make sense while it doesn't for the standard drow, IMO.

Sort of like racial substitution levels for a dwarf ranger.

IIRC, they have deliberately targetted both the classes that are most and least associated with each race with the substitution levels, so I don't see drow ranger as an issue.

Besides, food is scarce in the underdark, so I'd imagine hunting would be very important to drow cities. Rangers would be right at home in that role. EDIT: Especially as hunters would necesarily have to travel far from home, though dangerous tunnels, to find anything.

Darkheart Slayer - +4 morale bonus on will saves vs. Elf Spell/spell like abilities. No Light Blindness.
