I looked from man, to man, to lady, and to the other man. "You all make good points, that is true, the spirit of a man can be greater in nature then the actual power associated with him." I brushed a whisp of hair out of my eyes, I was now full engrossed in the debate. "The truth of the matter is, even the greatest archer of all time could miss the average drunkard in this bar, if the conditions were wrong, or if he had not enough sleep the night before." I turned my attention to the chaos evoker,
"Yes, I had heard of the prismatic dragon, in fact, I've seen one as well." I continued, weaving a fantastical tale that was obviously false, "I was in the hills of Confusion, to the north of Dictionopolis, when I came upon a cave, a strange and wonderous one, full of multicolored rocks, and diamonds, emeralds, rubies, saphires aplenty. But outside of the wonderful cave were guards, strange ones, looked like the cross between a succubus and a troll, as if their creator hadn't decided whether he wanted them to be beautiful or horrific." I kept telling my tale, seeing even a couple of the peasants had wandered over to listen. "So, I tricked them, I walked up to them and said, "Hey, you know, there is a knight over yonder", I pointed in the opposite direction, "Who is comming to challenge you."
"Why should we belive you?" They asked menacingly, "Tell us." "Yes. Tell us"
"Well, why would I lie to you?" I told them, "If you go now, you can ambush him, and it'll save you alot of trouble, one of you come from that side, and the other come from the other side."
"Ok!" One responded, looking to his friend, "Ok!" the other affirmed.
You see, I knew they'd think that they were each the knight, and attack eachother, and not realize their mistake until I was long gone. I crept into the cavern as soon as the two monsters were out of earshot. I was struck with much wonderment with the insides of the cave, it was tall enought to walk in, but the cave wasn't to long, only within minutes of walking through the hypnotic halls of the cave, I found a large nest-like conflagration of strange materials, such as an obviously enchanted sword, the large, wide side of a boat, and many other treasures. I crept to the nests edge, and saw to my amazement, 7 small dragons, that, like the cave they were in, were flashing of many different colors, diamond, emerald, ruby, sapphire. I was so amazed by this spectacle, I stood their, untill the dragons started to speak. "Hello" "Hello"
"Hello" "Hello" they said.
"Huh?" I answered back
"It must be dumb..." they spoke among themselves, "Its a little poor animal..." one said, and another, more violent one, "Lets eat it."
But one with the qualities of a leader, said, "Wait, its only an animal, just let it be, lets try to scare it off, or something."
The violent one came back and, bearing its gaping maw of already developed teeth, gave a piercing yell, and charged for me.
I was spooked out of my mind, and started running, I ran like the wind, out of there, away from the hills of confusion, and into the mountains of ignorance, to see refuge in the many twisting caves that made the place up.
The end... How'd you like my tale?"
