[RPG] Creating Monsters!

Oh, I'm learning. I've been playing with modifying a lot of different things for my own amusement, and I'm learning why thorough clear englich (not psuedo-code) comments give a lot more back than they take to create.

Edit: Ya know... Kal spotted this and PM'd me... but something I really don't like is that defense is just defense/3. That means if I have 3 times the defense of the others offense, I'm immune to him for the most part. There is no natural 20 here...

Actually on closer inspection, Defence is random too, its just divided by some number (depending on circumstance) before its made random (This means defence is actually inferior to attack. (Well as long as you have an attack of 2 or greater anyway))

Sadly, lots and lots of commercial code would get the developer murdered in university assessment. Win9x sources must be a sight to behold, I'd wager.

Mmm, okay, this guy is just copying and posting blocks of comments (and code) at certain place, which is why some of the comments make no sense,

// are we attacking the opponent, or the opponents summon? O_o
if($battle['p2_summon']!="Yes"){
// opponent attacking....

Should be //are we being attack by the opponent or the opponent's summon ?

But he's just C&Ped the Calculate Attack Data Heading. His comments are for his own use largely I think, so they are kinda hard to follow for me.

Since I noticed that you average 9 points a level per stat of increase, I've recalculated the levels of the bots. (And assuming they are worth 7 GP/level (1st column or 7.5 GP/level (2nd Column)), I've also thrown in the gold piece value too. I don't think a flat per level sum will work after doing this table, its far far easier to take down 12 wraith's than even a single balrog. (Perhaps a level squared * 0.8 GP would work better. (Except for the orc which would be way undervalued))

Monster Level GP1 GP2
Kobold 0 1 1
Orc 2 14 GP 15 GP
Troll 16 112 GP 120 GP
Dragon 39 273 GP 292.5 GP
Wraith 9 63 GP 67.5 GP
Death Knight 53 371 GP 397.5 GP
Balrog 104 728 GP 780 GP

Fought the Necromancer and lost, but it was a good fight. I was starting down hp anyway.

Oh,and Thank you for making healing cheaper!

Might also have something to do with the fact that I just levelled him up an hour ago. I did just absorb the Kobold's rage attack, so get in there and beat him up while he's at 0! :D

The Necromancer is cool - I'm curious to see how he develops as we beat on him and level him up...
