Fellow wise ENWorlders
A few years back I briefly played an RPG (fantasy IIRC) where the combat was resolved with a series of cards (possibly only as a prelude to dice rolls, I really can't remember) with the result determined by the stat/skill of participants. There were around 4 or 5, along the lines of 'full attack', 'full defense', 'cautious attack' etc, and the combination of the 2 cards determined the result. Again, memory fails me somewhat but I seem to remember something like 'full defense' pretty much 'beat' anything, and if both declared 'full attack' then the loser took either double damage or a crit.
Any of this making any sense to anyone (please say yes, or I'm signing up for the funny farm )?
