RPGA Tri-state Gameday?

Well there are two fairly major cons in the Tri-State-ish area...

ConnCon in March
and
Anonycon in December

Both held at the same hotel in Stamford, CT.

Lotsa Living (esp Greyhawk) at each, and a buncha classics, too!

w00t. If i can get at least 5 here, i'll Email Ian Richards and post signs at Neutral Ground to try and recruit more.

Can you post your email so i can start a list of DM's for me to contact?

A good question. You'll probably want to set a date that you know works with Neutral Ground, then go from there. You'll also want to mention it on the RPGA and LG email lists. It's really hard for folks to commit to something fun until they know the day.

When you do, doublecheck to make sure it isn't interfering with any other cons in the tristate area. It would suck to have competition.

Piratecat (or anyone else),

As an (very) old RPGA DM who has "come back into the fold" since WF, could you give (or email) me the info RPGA & LG email lists?

Thanks in advance.

Neutral Ground aint the first location im thinking of holding it.
Kings Games has just enough room for such an event and i'm good friends with the owner (thus i'll have an easier time of getting the room without having to pay for it. So long as there is no magic tourny.)

I'd like to get at least 5 people before I discuss a committed date with Alex of KG, or Matt of NG, I figure a weekend in may is long enough away that I can get a general confirmation for willing DM's and eventually can start filtering down to specifics.

A Saturday (or sunday, but pref Sat because everyone works on monday) in May, at Kings Games in Brooklyn is my ideal location and timeframe. The secondary location will be NG if I cant set things up with Alex.

I know of no other conventions that happen in the area during may.....so i think i'm safe for that time.

You may want to look at the various RPGA and LG related yahoogroups, for more info on where cons are held in the area and when. In addition to ConnCon and AnonyCon there are a bunch of conventions listed on the Keoland and Bissel yahoogroups. I'm also happy to chat with you more about it, as I maintain a calendar and try to keep tabs on many of these sorts of things.

You may also want to look at Jenga's Convention listing for more info on when cons are happening and where.

Well those 3, tehcnically 2 since one is a LARP, seem to be the only competition.

Wow, one has an attendance of 1500. I wasnt even expecting breaking 100. Like i said, i'm aiming for a one day gameday. With hopes of growing into a convention.

I suppose I should try to schedule this for one of the first two weeks of may then.

Hi Max! Funny meeting you here... ;)

ArthurQ, May is a bad month for me...but I'll keep an eye on this thread and my own calendar and let you know how things pan out...
