Looks cool but I have a question ...

Have the d20 rules been changed and rebalanced to make it a stand-alone only game or can it be uses in conjunction with normal D&D? I'm concerned about classes, feats and equipment mainly.

Does this book use d20 Modern? It doesn't look like it but it refers to the Ninja as a "Base Class".

It's a d20 fantasy product. So in conjunction with normal D&D. I think I just used the wrong term there perhaps. What type of the classes are fighter, thief, etc.. ? core or base?

So it's NOT d20 modern. It uses the d20 fantasy and is designed similar to Legends of Excalibur.

Thanks. "Core Class" is the term I'm used to but I don't think that is official-like. Anyway, I was more concerned with compatability. Hmmm. To get PDF or wait for print ......

Heya Aaron :)

Samurai uses some alternate mechanics... the only one that should require tweaking is the fact that the game uses an Honor score in place of alignment... however, if you make all the classes with a high Honor requirement have a Lawful requirement, then the classes should work fine...

The weapons and armor should be completely compatible... as should the martial arts feats...

To run a campaign with Legends of the Samurai, should I just wait for the other books?
I was curious if you could use just the Bushido Handbook for a game without magic.

I'm using the WP/VP system laid out in Unearthed Arcana for the non-magic game. Once magic is available, then will go back to the standard HP system.
