For anyone who wants to try tabletop style roleplaying online... The rpgtonight.com free online virtual tabletop site is now officially open. We have everything you need to play including a die roller, map display, miniatures (thumbnail images), character sheets, sound effects, built in voice and text chat, and a growing library of maps, miniatures, and sounds. There is nothing to download, you just find some fellow players and get on and play. Try it at www.rpgtonight.com - try tabletop gaming with anyone, anywhere, online!

PS: We are also looking for playtesters for an online real time "living game." At this stage we need to playtest the rules and protocol that will let multiple players and parties interact in real time in a tabletop-style persistant world.

Is this compatible with multiple rules sytems? I want to be able to throw several sizes of dice at the same time, like D8+D6+2D4, etc.
 



It works with any rules set. There are no rules specific functions. You can roll any combination of dice, but you have to use your own rulebooks to interpret what your rolls mean, just as with physical dice. You can also make customized character sheets.

But if you want to see what it does the best way is to sign up, start a test gameroom (use the GM start link on the left), take a look at the various instruction sheets (try using the short versions), and try it out. You don't have to download any software.
