Have to hand it to the Minister for getting these weapons, what was the name of that arms dealer? Tera-something. It'll make anyone stupid enough to come after us easier to blast, 'specially since we can set them to stun...though that sounds something out of Star Trek.
[/sblock]
Tera something. Make a note of that thinks Mr Jones, might be someone the police will want to investigate when this is all over. He is pretty informative this guard, lets see what else he knows. Mr Jones lets the feeling that the gun is getting heavy continue and a suggestion that nothing much is happening and guard duty in general is boring. "I wonder how long until this shift is over."

The guard is bored and is thinking about his shift pattern, he checks his watch how much longer? And what will he be doing next once his shift on the door is up, something more interesting perhaps.

[Sblock=GM]The above for the guard is obviously only if the roll is good enough :> Jones is looking to discover how long until these to get relieved, how often the boss guard comes around to check on them, that sort of thing, plus any nice titbits like after this they will be on student dragging detail etc.

Bluff check to think about the guards shift. (1d20+12=23)

OOC: D'oh! Yeah, guess the Electromagnetic Blaster really should be Lethal -- kinda hard to have a Non-Lethal laser or microwave blast or x-ray laser, even with rubbery comic book super-science

Oh I don't know a tazar is probably electro-magnetic or you might get away with saying it is specially tuned radiation exactly the right wavelength to excite a specific molecule in the nerves triggering a feeling of intense pain so the victim passes out but suffers no lasting damage. But then maybe those are both examples of Stun rather than no lethal blast. [/sblock]

Archeville holsters his Elektromagnetische pistole, deactivates his force field, and raises his hands up. "Do not vorry, people -- ve are here to rescue you. I am Herr Doktor Viktor Archeville, of zhe Resolutes, und zhis is mein teammate, Zenji zhe Antiquarian. As you can see, ve haff already subdued one of your captors," he turns and points to the unconscious illusioninst held by Zenji's staff, "und mein other teammates are vorking on bringing zhe other ne'er-do-vells to justice."

"Now, is anyone here injured? Anyone in need of medical attention? Und can any of you tell us exactly vhat has happened here?"

Diplomacy check; +4 from Attractive where applicable. (1d20 [+4] = 10 [14])

[sblock=Rgordona]Those could be incorporated to the next upgrade Arcehville does on his gun ;) [/sblock]

As you pry more but there is no information about a guard shift change, but he does appear to be waiting for orders.

"No one is hurt, as for what's going on no one really knows. ventures an older woman, "Someone appeared and told us to come up here and as long as we stayed here no one would be hurt. I don't even remember leaving my classroom, the woman continues, alternating between looking at Archeville and the unconcious young man.

Zenji looks at Archeville annoyed "Dude, it's "Arcane Antiquarian," not just "Antiquarian."" He then looks at everyone staring at them. "Uhh... what he said."

Alternate power: Blast (nonlethal)
A.k.a. set phaser-- I mean Elektromagnetische pistole-- to stun

Which reminds me, I never mentioned whether my staff's blast power is lethal or not (it's not). I'll go fix that.

Yes, the staff has a blast power (actually, that's the primary power in the array). Zenji just doesn't realize it yet. Waiting for an appropriately dramating moment for him to "discover" it.

Archeville gives a half-nod, half-shrug at Zenji's correction, then looks back to the older woman. "I see, I see... vell, it is good zhat no one seems hurt," he glances over the crowd, trying to get a general 'feel' for the crowd, and to see just how many there are. "Und if ve could get everyone togezher in one room, I believe ve can get you all out quickly und safely." He smiles reassuringly at the woman, and anyone else in the area.

Sense Motive roll, trying to get a 'feel' for the crowd. (1d20+5 = 23)
[sblock=Asmor]Heh, should be fun -- or at least 'interestin'g -- once Zenji finds out he's got Blast ;)[/sblock]

Looking around the room, Archeville looses the exact count. But after a moment of putting his brilliant mind to use he determines there are no less then 150 people in this room, not counting whomever might be in the kitchen.

My, my, you are all packed in here like sardines, ja! Hrrmmm..." As Archeville looks around the room, as if making some sort of plan, he activates his commlink, Juggler, Herr Jones, Herr Barret, va haff found zhe hostages, und all seem to be in good shape. Vhat is your situation? Over."

Zenji's eyes catch those of a pretty indian coed, and he smiles at her even though she can't see his face through the cowl. Well helloooo beautiful, he thinks to himself. A dull thud shakes him from his reverie as he realizes he lost his concentration and the illusionist just fell about 6 inches to the ground. Flustered and embarassed, he reasserts his control over the limp body.

Waiting for orders eh? Well maybe that is something I can use. Lets find out what these guys' boss looks like. Mr Jones reaches out with his mind searching for a picture of the senior guard.

[Sblock=Actions]
Mind reading on both guards to find out what the guard sergeant looks, sounds like etc.
I think this is a direct question so 3 mind reading rolls, one for the first guard and two for the second.
3 mind reading rolls. (1d20+10=29, 1d20+10=20, 1d20+10=22)
[sblock=ooc]This is going to go so wrong, but a hint about expecting orders gave me the push to go with the stupid plan I had been considering.[/sblock][/sblock]

The Juggler quietly hits his com-button. "This is Laughing Boy, Herr Doktor. I'm out front in the Commons. Magicman, can you give me your location?"
