RS2: The Tokyo Problem (Velmont Judging)

Scout 'ports to the top of the building where Mecha was and seeing her down on the street below, she 'ports again to stand beside her. Then she becomes visible and speaks "Marie, I need your help with the boy, ... or one of his duplicates."
Scout, then attempts to 'port first Mecha, and then herself, to the location of the fallen boy that she stood beside just a few moments before.

"I can bring you closer to the boy ... or his duplicates ... If you can somehow distinguish between them, or failing that, simply keep them contained/controlled. There is one that just survived a 100ft fall without any apparent wounds, if we start there ..."

"It's worth a shot, I guess. Let's see if they glow red." Her helmet's visor turns a redish color as she activates her infrared filter.

OOC: Supersenses-Infravision on

[[ Ack! I thought I'd posted this round! ]]

Archeville continues steering MekaGojira -- and leading Gojira -- out towards the (relative) isolation and safety of the bay.

"Alright, MekaGojira, let's see if I can get a look at what systems you have..."

[[ Umm.... just how would I do a "see what MechGodzilla can do" thing? ]]

Mr Scares strikes true, catching the boy unaware and sending him flying through the air. The boy hits the ground, rolling away ending up about 30 feet from the former nightmare. He doesn't stand up. With her infared activated Mecha picks up the boy and the monster, and sees the invisble duplicates dissappear one by one, including the one being held in the air by Sierra. (To everyone else the boy Gus hit is still invisible), Mechagojira continues toward the sea while Godzilla has slowed a bit letting out a frusterated roar.

OOC: HoV a computers check should let you analyze his capeabilites

No teeth, huh? Gus thinks, smirking in spite of himself. He doesn't hold with hitting children, but that was surprisingly... liberating.

Gus slides serpent-like into the shadow he just walked out of, emerging next to The Boy (or at least the version he just struck) and wrapping powerful arms around the small, prone form.

(Assuming everything seems to go according to plan) Gus lets himself become visible, and bellows "Have caught invisible child!", a grin of goofy triumph plastered across his face.

Teleport (Medium: Shadows) to reach The Boy, and then Grappling him. Gus is trying to restrain the child, not to do any damage.

Base attack for Grapple: To hit on Grapple vs. The Boy (1d20 8=28)

Nat 20! Bwahahah!

And then Grapple Check, to see if he can hang on: (Str bonus 4 plus Base Attack 8)
Grapple check vs. The Boy (1d20 12=31)
. Wow. "Only" a 19. Hot dice.

Marie smiles and waves at the now visible kid. "I seeeee you. Not that I think it matters at the moment." She grins at Scares.

OOC: Is the kid still conscious?
