RS2: The Tokyo Problem (Velmont Judging)

In the Tower
Gus
At the sound of the communicator and no one exiting the elevator, the doorman looks around...slowly. He steps through Mr. Scares (and the nightmare turned hero gets a good look at his fears-fear of heights, and large open spaces) and looks into the elevator. He slowly turns around obviously nervous that he's not quite alone...

Is unfair temptation, that's what it is, Gus thinks, seeing the frightened Bad Man. He could call others, make difficulties down here. Gus clenches a meaty fist. If I give him a proper pounding, though, electronic eyes will probably see. Resolutes training was very definite about the eyes.

Grinding his teeth in frustration, Gus ignores his predatory instincts and steps through the door. There will always be time for scarings later.

On the Street

A car alarm sounds in the distance as the Resolutes stare at the space the ape had passed. Sierra vaugly remembers some movie about a giant ape but it wasn't alltogether that interesting.

In the Tower
Scout looses track of the two, they didn't seem to be moving with any formality or haste...

Gus finds himself in a lavish penthouse, there are no walls, only windows. A kitchen is on one side of the room, a dining room/television area set off to another. A small hallway presumably leads to a bedroom. Near the TV is a bookshelf, and on closer inspection is completly filled with B Movies, trivia books, comic books and video games.

OOC: I think you mean Archeville, not Sierra. ;)

"Sooo..." Archeville says, looking to Salix and Sierra, then levitating up, "vhat say you two distract it vhile I try und get some readings und find out just vhat zhis zhing is made off?"

Scout listens carefully and waits, examining her surroundings carefully with her blindsight.

[Is there a maintenance ladder in the lift shaft?]

"Hmm...a distraction? This seems appropriate--"

*Sierra conjures up an illusory giant Godzilla monster to distract the giant ape in all the King Kong vs Godzilla glory that such a distraction entails.*

It takes a moment, but looking at the B movies with their monsters and ninjas, Gus realizes this is no ordinary apartment. Mister Scares is in the belly of the beast. Floating above the floor, silent as a dream, he creeps towards the bedroom and peers in.

[sblock=Just in case]Here Gus' stealth roll, just in case. If he gets any bonus for literally walking on air... well, that's up to you.

The Tower
Gus steps through the door and finds himself in a small bedroom. There are two beds, one against each wall and a small dresser.

Scout detects two people re-enter the elevator, and the car once again moves down the shaft. As the car decends she can make out a maintance ladder.

The Street
Sierra waves her hands and in the street the infamous Godzilla appears. It only takes a moment for the crowd to see the appearance of the monster as cars screech to a halt. The people on the sidewalk begin to bolt-some into the building, others up the street. Cars run into each other with the sudden appearance and braking "Run!" cries a man, "Godzilla!"

"It was them! and older man dressed in a very expensive suit and accompanied by two men in black. "They're the ones conjuring all these abominations that have been plauging this city! Get those three!

The two men draw concealed pistols, and step towards the Resolutes as the accusing man takes a step back toward the building.

"Oops! That's not good. Oh well," Sierra shrugs, then turns to the three men with her best conciliatory smile.

<<Moshiwake gozaimasen>> she bows deeply, <<But haven't you seen King Kong vs Godzilla? Godzilla is the good guy in that one, protecting Tokyo. The ape here is the bad one--as you will see, Godzilla will do no harm to any innocents.>>

(OOC: No powers or anything, since she needs to keep up the Illusion by not switching to another power, just good old fashioned girlish charm)

"Gott in Himmel...." Archeville sighs as he buries his face in his hands.

[sblock=Shoulder Daemons]We should just go off on our own, use our new cloaking function to sneak in. Or just teleport.

No, we should stay here and help explain this mess away!

Why? It's her mess, she should straighten it out! It'd serve the lil' Xaostician right.

And what about Titan?

What about him?

Well, for one, he's an innocent in this mess, and really can't slip away.

He could shrink away if he wanted. He did say he could shrink, right? Yeah, I think he did....

Two, he's wearing that new bit of tech we made for him -- and if he's jailed, or killed, he won't be able to give it a proper field test.

... okay, good point. So, what, we just stand here and look innocent?

Something like that, yes. Try and make sure things don't get any worse. We do what we can to help, that's our job.

Job? Since when do we get paid?

Oh, be quiet....[/sblock]

Archeville lifts his face up, and assumes as non-threatening (but still dignified) a pose as he can.

Noting the exact position of the maintenance ladder, she points it out to Marie and then holds her hands to indicate that they should wait until the elevator car is empty.

Once the elevator stops, she will move over to the ladder and begin climbing up, keeping an eye out for the elevator below.

[sblock=Actions][Stealth +30 (as she moves)]
[Notice +30 (to watch out for the elevator)]
