RS2: The Tokyo Problem (Velmont Judging)

Marie nods and follows after Scout as quiet as she can. (OOC: Which, considering she has no ranks in stealth, probably isnt all that quiet)

[sblock=OOC (Raylis)]Speaking of which, is it possible to willingly take a penalty to a skill in order to assist someone else with that skill while using it yourself?

For example, Could Scout take a penalty to Stealth in order to help Marie be more stealthful, while still stealthing herself?[/sblock]

Gus steps through the door and finds himself in a small bedroom. There are two beds, one against each wall and a small dresser.

The hiding places that leap to mind for Gus are under the bed and in the closet-- old habits die hard. He eventually makes his way to the dresser, though and begins an inept search for anything telling.

He doesn't bother to become visible.

[sblock=search]Oh... Gus is bad at this...

Search roll (1d20-1=4)[/sblock]

OOC: sorry for the delay, this has been one of those weeks. Stormwind you can use the aid another action to help with Marie's stealth, if you beat a DC 10 it will give her a +2 to stealth rolls.

The Street
The two guards keep their weapons trained on the Resolute trio, <<Get rid of it!>> one of them snarls. <<Face the wall and put your hands on it.>> the other one orders, putting a hand to his ear <<This is Minimoto in front of the street, dispatch Security to the front of the building to escort Mr. Ichitawa to his meeting and alert the National Guard, we've caught the ones responsible for the monsters infesting Tokyo!>>

Tower
Scout and Mecha make it to the maintance elevator and begin ascending, keeping eyes and ears out for any signs that the elevator will start back up. How high are you going?

Gus finds nothing of interest in the dresser.

"Oh, you're not very fun at all."

'In fact, you're almost certainly evil and relatively important. Normal people don't resist my charms like that. Good to know,' she thinks to herself

"You don't want to do that, do you?" Sierra sighs as Godzilla melts away and her voice becomes very persuasive.

[SBLOCK=OOC: ] Diplomacy--Fascination as well as Emotion Control[/SBLOCK]

Archeville's attention shifts back and forth between Sierra & the Men in Suits, and the still-rampaging giant ape. <<"We're the ones trying to stop these monsters!">>

Well, can always come back later, Gus thinks, Rampaging ape sounds more interesting, anyway.

"Am thinking have found summoner's bedroom, but no summoner. He is probably outside with ape. You may not see me, but I will be joining."

Gus steps into the shadows lurking at the back of The Boy's closet, and appears silently and invisibly at the front of the building (shadows permitting), hopefully near the other Resolutes.

[sblock=OOC (Raylis & D.Shaffer)]Scout will assist Marie in being stealthy as they move up the shaft.

Scout is planning to go up as far as she can ... unless she finds something interesting on the way. Since she can 'see' through the walls with blindsight, the type of things that are likely to interest her are: the boy or the girl that they encountered earlier, anything obviously strange, and any particulary large amounts of security (guards or equipment).

If they get to the top without finding anything interesting she will look around and assess their situation (will try to find a good spot on the roof to teleport to).[/sblock]

I reread blindsense last night, and while it allows you to pinpoint your surroundsing and make you immune to obscure effects (unless they specifically obscure your blindsense) it does have to have a line of effect. I.E. while you can "see" in the dark shaft you can't sense through the walls.

The Tower
Scout and Mecha climb a few floors before the mantainece ladder stops at the bottom of a set of elevator doors. Looking around there is another ladder on the other side. Scout concludes that instead of one long mantaince ladder they're split into sections between floors. The elevator does move, but not high enough to cause either Resolute alarm.

The Street
One of the guards (Mr. Orange) gun's droops, it's barrel aimed more at the street then at the Resolutes. The other one doesn't seem to take notice, still talking on his headset with his gun pointed in their direction, but not at any one in particular.

Mr. Scares steps through the shadows and finds himself back in front of the building, (where he Scout and Marie entered) staring at Mr. Ichitawa. From just around the corner he recognizes Archeville's voice.

OOC: Rystil, which emotion?
