Rule Clarifications (overrun)

Lets say a monsters/NPC succeeds in overruning a PC. The PC is now prone, what benefits if any do other monsters/NPCs get when attempting to overrun the PC while they are prone? How about even if they tried to tumble through the prone PC's square.

Thanks

None, except that the prone PC has -4 to attacks and AC, which makes it less risky to tumble through the square. Unless he has Combat Reflexes he can only make one AoO each round, which he probably spent against the first overrun.

Thanks Henrix. So basically once a monster/NPC breaks the PC's line using
overrun, every other monster can just walk through the prone PC's square
without any problems (lets say the PC doesnt have combat reflexes)? Or does each monster still have to perform the overrun check on the prone PC's
to pass through its square?

Thanks
Z

They'd each have to overrun or tumble through the square, but would not suffer AoOs (provided the prone PC does not have more than one AoO).
You cannot move normally through a square occupied by a hostile creature (unless you are much bigger/smaller).

That does appear to be the Black Letter. On the other hand, I'm not sure I like how it plays out. Extra AOOs from combat reflexes aside, I'm not convinced a prone opponent provides a credible opposition to movement.

I'd prefer (I think) to treat movement through such a square as 'hampered' (double movement cost).

Consider: If a downed opponent IS entitled to a check to oppose subsequent overrunning bad guys, then they still have to 'waste' their standard actions opposing a beaten opponent rather than attacking the enemy in the backfield. Which makes Overrun even more useless than it alredy is.
