Rules Cyclopedia 73%; AD&D 2e 27%

Well, as I type this it's 9:52 pm, and it's all over. I don't know how to "officially" close a poll (dear moderators, feel free to shut that poll down if you wish :) ) but as far as my buddy and I are concerned, the results are final. QUITE final, in fact.

Rules Cyclopedia D&D 73%

Advanced D&D 2e 27%

Needless to say, it wasn't even close, and never was. My group will be using Rules Cyclopedia D&D for our year-long epic (epic in scope, not character level ;) ) Greyhawk/Planescape/Ravenloft campaign.

Thanks to everyone who voted! It was fun. You can now turn you attention back to that *other* vote, you know, the one that isn't nearly as important as the Cyclopedia vs. 2e one... :) :) :)

The victory for RC is beyond any margin for error. It has the mandate it needs to implement its policies of fun, fun, and fun.

Let us know how your 'retro year' goes! :)

I'm still upset that the third party candidate "Twerps" was left off the ballot.

I didn't even tell you guys about the controversy involving FUDGE. FUDGE wanted to be in the televised debate, and almost won a court injunction to that effect! Whew! ;)

"I wouldn't be so hasty, Sebastian. Exit polls outside the Festhall in Sigil are showing overwhelming support from planar voters. 2nd Edition is expecting strong support on the Great Road along the Dis-Sigil-City of Brass corridor. Some outlying primes will be the last to be counted, though it's hard to say how Abeir-Toril is going to come in, between Elminster's endorsement of the 3rd-Edition party candidate and Drow intimidation of 2nd edition voters at polling places across Faerun (weapons and armor degredation are a significant issue for them, and the new edition has been very supportive of all drow-related causes). Dragons are also expected to be significant in the race, as they saw a major boost from Cyclopedia to 2nd edition, with major increases in hitpoints. Not only that, we've got piles of absentee ballots from Spelljammer crews to go through before we can blow the whistle on this one. This race is far from over. Back over to you, Mephisto."
