I thank everyone who has posted for doing so. Not only have you posted some very good reasons to not gank a player individually, but also given some great ideas on how to counteract player powers w/o it being abusive on the part of the DM. I have enjoyed reading everyone's posts and will definitely take a lot of this to heart with my gaming. It is true that at Epic tier the players are epic and are basically gods themselves, I guess what happened to me was that I wasn't thinking epically for them to bring down a primordial naga to being prone, but I will institute the rule from now on that they have to come up with their own cool descriptions to get more role playing into the game. After all, that is what this game is, role playing. Sometimes people forget about that from the other side of the table and are too concerned with RAW and keeping track of conditions, hit points, and effects.
