Runekeep - Halloween 4th Edition module

Kandrel

First Post
Morning folks!

I've just run my halloween game for my party, and they really enjoyed it. Seeing that my notes were almost thorough enough to post as an actual module, I spent a little bit of time cleaning things up and adding backstory where necessary.

The results can be found here:

Runekeep - A Haunted Adventure for D&D 4E

Sorry for the link, but if I were to post it in its entirety on these forums, it would take 5+ posts, and the formatting would be completely lost.

I hope this adventure inspires! Have a happy halloween!

Looks good.

Some notes
The bloodied values are off, bloodied value is always one-half your maximum hit-points (rounded down).

In the Stats for the Time Lost Child you list HP as 1. Only one hit point? Or is it supposed to be 10? For a level 2 encounter I'm guessing it should be 10.

I've taken the liberty of porting it over to MS Word and prettied it up, fixed some typos and your bloodied values. I PDFed it, as I'm sure most GMs will want to have a physical copy at their table.

Yea, looks like some copy/paste errors there. Further on, things don't even list a Bloodied value.

The Time Lost Children are minions, which means they have 1 HP.

Whew, your notes are way more detailed than mine - yours read almost like a story. When I DM, I just get stats for things like monsters and skill challenges, and then ham up the descriptions :)

Thanks for the touchups! You're quite correct, I had copypasta'd most of the monsters, just to have the templates to change values on. Oops! As is mentioned later, though, yes, the time-lost children are indeed minions. Honestly, this isn't a particularly challenging adventure, as long as the characters keep their cool. The point of it is the squick out the players, and force them to actually roleplay. Things get decidedly more difficult for the players if they lose focus and start panicking.

Beyond that, thanks for the cleanup. The formatting was done by my oh-so-patient editor, who manages to read my nearly incomprehensible scrawls prior to publishing an issue.

Just as an aside, I usually keep my little Eee PC with me during games. I've got a little home-brewed xubuntu on there, so all it can handle and edit are little .txt files. I promise you, it looks alot better in fixed font .txt!
