Running alongst walls (CT-HD)

What would be the check to run alongst a wall? I've ruled it's tumble, as it encompasses all brazen acts of flying humanity, but I'm not sure of the DC. I don't like that it is a psionic feat (ewww).

You mean running up a wall or along a wall? Running up a wall is easier, not that I've done either but I know a gymnist in college who could do this stuff. Running up a wall and then flipping off of it should be a tumble check DC20. Running along a wall can only be done for a very short distance (5ft at most I'd say) and that would be a little harder DC 25.

I am only vaguely familiar with the Psionic Feat; perhaps if you posted some of the DC's or limitations it would help determine whats reasonable for a non Psionic version.

Note that gamecat DID say that he didn't like how it was a psionic feat. So I think we can assume that he doesn't particularly care if he's impinging on it

As to the original question, have a look at the extreme Tumbling DCs in OA. Running along walls would probably be harder than moving 10 feet as a "5-foot step", which is DC 40. It would probably be easier than climbing 20 feet by bouncing off walls, which is DC 50. So let's split the difference and call it DC 45, if you move up to your normal speed.

"As a move-equivalent action, you can run (at your base speed) along a vertical surface, such as a wall or tree trunk. Every 5' you move in this way, make a Balance check with a DC equal to your height from the ground, or fall. (For example, to run to the top of a 30' wall, you must succeed at Balance checks with DCs of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 consecutively... good luck.) You must end the movement action upright on a horizontal surface, or fall."
