S&F: Circle Kick

As already stated, the feat's not worth taking as is. I have played a bit with allowing a circle kick once per round after a successful hit. This makes it useful, but not overpowering. It explicitly prevents the kind of long-lasting circle kick spiral that can result from allowing more than one use per round.

You guys need to watch more Kung Fu movies. I'm sure Jet Li could spin around in a circle with his foot extended while mooks continued to run into him and die :)

Yeah, but I'm sure Jet Li has Whirlwind Attack and could drop a ring of mooks even if dual-weilding salad tongs. ;)

Hmm. Like Cleave without the need to kill the opponents? ;)

That point came up too, when i discussed that feat with a friend of mine.

But we didn't come to a conclusion, so thats why i posted here. Just one attack plus a bonus attack if you hit can be nice at levels with one or two attacks per round, or if you have bad chances to hit. So Circle Kick ends up as a pure low level feat like Dirty Fighting (ok, perhaps not that bad).

On the other hand, if multiple kicks are allowed, imagione a high level monk with let's say 4 attacks plus flurry of blows. That character would get at least 2 bonus atatcks only from circle kick.

And that's the problem my gaming group and i had with circle kick:
1) Handle it as one attack plus one circle kick => makes it a weak one.
2) Circle Kicks for all hitting full attacks => whirling monk mass murder.

Happy discussing.

greets, quez
