S&S Creature Collection III: who submitted proposals?

Hi Vrylakos!

Editing was definitely a pain. Some of the critters, especially the last one I did, didn't seem to gel.

I know exactly what you mean, I even omitted some submissions because I couldn't decide on names I was happy with!

...It'll come to me eventually.

I sent in 3 monsters mainly based upon Chern (ie disease ridden horrors ). I didn't count words but I know they were well under 500 words. I tried to go for concise, evocative details about my monsters. Keeping my fingers crossed. Any word on how many submissions they recieved?

I sent out 5 (a celestial, a vermin, an undead, a monstrous humanoid and a golem). My wife sent out 3 (a beast, a magical beast and a vermin). My descriptions ran 200-300 words.

Put me down for an even dozen... I did not have much time given all my current projects, but I did manage to get SOME done... I had about 30 or so ideas, however...

For those of mine that do not make the cut (as well as some of the ideas that were not developed), you can look for them to be posted on my site sometime in the future! You can see one such critter there now, one that did not make the grade for the Atlas Penumbra Bestiary Open Call...

I appreciate the love Nightfall mate!

In the end I only submitted 26 entries. I managed to whittle them down from almost 50 ideas, some were simply too powerful and others just didn't fit in with the themes they had suggested.

Each entry was (approx.) between 200-400 words.

Well that's 16 more than I sent in. So I think you'll probably see a 50% return rate on them.

Ari/Mouse, I know what you mean about good ideas. I'm sure a few templates will come to me, since I didn't send in any.
