yes summer sucks. but on the flip side I have NEVER had to dig out my car after a snowstorm. and did I mention the #of times I've had to shovel my driveway. if not that number is ZERO.
of course it also means I can ware shorts all bt about 2 weeks of the year (taht is our winter) here it is the end of December and its still getting up into the 50's and 60's. you have GOT to love that!
To quote a phrase from one of my players (the guy who runs the hobbit who got wet in the snow and almost got hypothermia) "I will NEVER be COLD again" that said I like it best between 50 and 75

Well you're call San. But believe me, if someone asked me how I want the world to end I'd say "I favor nice and cold!

I'm more comfortable in shorts and 35 is at the very low end of shorts weather. although 48-50 isn't too bad. besides if you are near an L.A. beach in the summer it rarely goes much over 90, where as Palm Springs routinely gets into the 120's (glad I don't live there either)

heat vs cold
I think you misundersatand me. I'm not a sun worshiper/heat lover. I just REALLY HATE BEING COLD!

rain bad
having played americian football in high school and taken a few shots to the knees, all I can say about scotland is "Rain Bad" or maby I can put it better as Rain=Pain. when the weather changes my knees throb. thats a major reason for living in sunny So. Cal.
