S1: The Strange Case of Aif Jenkins' Farm (E13 judge) - Concluded

ooc: While stripping the defeated orcs of potential valuables, did Banion notice anything unusual... any mind controlling parasites, for example? Also, I believe its a relatively easy sense motive check to determine if a person is operating under certain types of magical compulsion. Banion will try to establish if any of that might be going on... Banion's wisdom of 10 should give him a Sense Motive modifier of +0. Banion is suspicious that something else is behind this 'Orc invasion' if humans are involved, too.

Banion lets the others know they are moving away from his position, just to be sure they are aware. He'll maintain his watch for the time being, wanting to see if the people he's spying on will react to the farmhouse being left empty.

Ok. I'm a bone head. The group is walking TOWARDS the shed on the hill. So they are mostly walking towards Banion.

Eusebius takes Aif by the arm.

"Wait. There's an orc and a human at the top of the hill, standing guard at the entrance. And there are human bodies lying around on the ground. Looks like your friends have been attacked, just as you were."

"Is there any other way into the complex?"

Eusebius thinks to the link, "The problem is to get into the complex without our enemies knowing. The other problem is that we're not really sure who our enemies are. I've just asked Jenkins if there's another way in. His reply should be interesting!"

Beamer is liking this less and less by the minute. He makes sure he has some space between himself and the now heavily armed "farmers". Just about every scenario he can think of adds up to someone dying, and in an unhealthy number of those scenarios someone=Beamer.

"The door to the complex is actually on the other side of the hill. We could go around, but it would take longer and I don't think we can hide a large armored force like us. But whatever you want. We could circle around to the West, in the woods, which are thick. Or to the fields to the East, which provide little cover." says Aif, twirling his sword nervously.
