Banion looks the man over, trying to tell if ha can recognize him. Is there any chance he fits the description of the Paladin?

Either way, if Eusebius can restore him to conciousness things might become more clear.

By the look of him, he could be the man Banion and Beamer saw riding off last week. The man they think is the paladin Thorvin Arkenthrasher. But they can't know for sure. Pretty much, all the other bodies were accounted for, except for Aif Jenkins.

Eusebius' heart is moved to pity at the state of the prisoner, and the tortures he has endured. He takes out his wand, and plies it for the healing of the man who may be the paladin he seeks.

[sblock=OOC]From the previous list of rolls, he heals the stranger for a total of 9 hp, which makes him staggered at 0. He'll then proceed to speak with him.[/sblock]Wand of CLW, 28 charges remaining.

Due to the nature of his torture, which is too graphic to post, and unpleasent to even contemplate, mere healing won't cure him. Time, and more powerful magic would be required to get him back to full capacity. However, the wand does ease his pain, and he falls into a peaceful sleep. His wounds somewhat healed, he does resemble the armored warrior Beamer and Banion saw in Rivensblight. And he meets the general description of Thorvin Arkenthrasher that Eusebius received in Orussus.

While the others are healing the Paladin, Banion will take a look around, moving stealthfully. He'll stay close, but try to get an idea as to whether there are any additional places to expore.

Long term goals, in no particular order:

1) Search for any loot that may have been abandoned in the complex.
2) Get the Paladin to a place of safety.
3) Rest and recuperate.

"If we can assure this place is clear, it would be a good place to rest secured. With rest, I can take care of my own wounds and the Father can care of the rest of you," Juliana says.

The group searches some more, and finds no more hostile forces, or valuables. From looking around, this complex seems quite old, hundreds, maybe thousands of years. It was evidently built to venerate orcs, as well as the people who resemble the men in the complex. Masked assassin types weilding curved blades. Behind the orc statue in the last room is a stone alter of sorts.

The group has amassed some valuable treasure, as well as a small arsonal of mundane weapons and armor. The front door to the complex has been bashed down, but the party could close the doors to a single room and feel relatively safe.

On the other hand, there appears to be an orc invasion of the area. The mysterious Aif Jenkins had urged the group to go to the nearby town of Braeholl to warn the residents of the invasion. Perhaps it would be worth traveling another hour or so to try to spend the night there.

Banion agrees with Julianna, better to rest in place. The wounded Paladin could probably use some rest before the exertions of travel, and the group will fair a lot better against a stray column of orcs if they rest first. (Especially as we're likely to level up!) :)
