Sacred Fist and magic gauntlet.

I am planning to make a Cleric 6/Sacred Fist X (yes, no monk level). He wears armor and use either usual Unarmed Strike or magic gauntlet (cannot gain bigger damage dice but I can add Holy and such). It should work as an attack with a gauntlet is still an "Unarmed Strike". Then if he uses "Sacred Flames" ability, can he apply that damage to an attack with his magic gauntlet?

IIRC A gauntlet can be used with unarmed strike, but a spiked gauntlet is a weapon.

A kind of. Our playgoup has been looking for a way to make an armored bare-hand fighter and could not find any other good option.
