Even so, it remains a pretty amazing feat, particularly for infernal warlocks!

-O

I'm using it for a dwarven Starlock/Shaper Psion...who will be taking Twofold Pact: Infernal (and Psionic Toughness) when he makes it to Paragon. Hello, "Suicide Black Deck!"

(Hmmmm...maybe some of the other Toughness feats might be worth taking...)

So it doesn't affect warlock PP's/ED's then? just curious

I have no idea what those are.

I have a similar character in LFR, a Warforged Star/Infernal Warlock who was all about soaking up damage and punishing enemies with retributive powers (Hellish Rebuke, White Lotus, etc) - and overall, I found that 'moar temps' or other damage prevention methods can be the best approach, rather than worrying about hitpoints alone. Now, I'm not sure offhand if there are actually any decent feats that do enough along those lines to be a better investment than toughness feats, but it might be worth looking into.

My character actually has a Berserker Greatsword he runs around with, which is quite useful - tanking his (already poor) defenses and gaining Resist 5 to damage for a combat once per day. Having Resist to damage plus regular sources of temporary hitpoints can make for a very effective combination.

I think he was referring to Paragon Paths and Epic Destinies. It's unclear, I think - I tend to assume that Warlock Paragon Paths (defined as a Paragon Path with Warlock as a prereq) count as Warlock powers, since similar issues crop up all over the game, with many classes. But I think by the absolutely letter of the rules, they don't count. It's definitely one of those tricky areas.

However, it does affect STD's.

Also worthwhile to note that the Paragon Path Student of Caiphon was errata-ed to only affect Warlock powers as well--my Avenger was almost to level 10 when they announced that. :.-(

Edit: Student of Caiphon enabled critical hits with "radiant" powers on an 18-20, IIRC. My entire build was geared toward it. <sniff> No... it's okay.... I'll be fine in a while....
