Speak for yourself. When I consider "being sure I am right" to be a priority, I crack open the books, pretty much regardless of how certain I am that I'm right. And given I co-GM an epic arena, trust me ... I tend to debate the rules quite a lot. Then he needs to be given a wake-up-call. He's obviously not that good with the rules, after all.So if the Sage thinks of himself as someone who can answer pretty much anything from the top of his head - or at least those questions where the answer seems obvious to him - he won't do a research.
5% error on nontrivial issues owudl be good. 10% would be livable. Currently, he's well above that 10%, IMO. More like 30% to 40% ...
