D&D 3E/3.5 SANTA CLAUS for D&D 3E

What do your PCs want for the holidays? If your player characters have been extra good this year, treat them to a visit from Nicholas the Gift-Giver, better known as Santa Claus. I very likely reported it at the time, but back in 2001 Sean K. Reynolds did an official D&D writeup of Santa Claus for the WotC website for D&D 3E. I know not many people are playing 3E these days (as opposed to 3.5 or Pathfinder, or more recent D&D editions) but it's still well worth the look.

You may think you've got the skinny on Saint Nick, but how much do you really know about the jolly old elf? Case in point: He's not really an elf, despite what you read in seasonal poetry. And the reindeer aren't Tiny, either.

The only way to know all about the man reading your PCs' holiday wish lists is to check out these official D&D Santa Claus stats from designer Sean K Reynolds. Click on the image below!

I had Santa show up in the last game I ran. The PCs were trapped in a realm of eternal winter. I added him onto the random encounter table and that's what the PCs rolled. He gave each of the party members a magical item. The cleric of Fharlanghn got the relic boots (unending journey), the fey raised warlock got a rod of wonder, and the fighter got a shirt of chains (minor DR item). The PCs asked if Santa had seen their missing party member, lost in the snowstorm, but he had not. He was on the naughty list and Santa wasn't looking for him.
