[Savage Species] Additional magic item slots without feats

Well, MY player characters are not monstrous, and they don't have enough slotted items. Besides, they're not high level enough to cast polymorph yet.

Yup : because you DM only twice a year, and give only 1/10 of the normaly awarded XP for a given CR. So, after 2 years, we are still 6th level...

Re: Centaurs

According to Races of Faerun centaur armor (magical barding) costs 4 times as much as himanoid armor of the same type, but can be made magical or masterwork for the same cost. Example "+1 studded leather barding costs 1,000 gp for the magic portion of the armor, 150 gp for the masterwork price, and 100 gp for 4 times the cnormal cost of studded leather armor, for a total of 1,250 gp [Which is a mere 75 gp more than what a human would pay].

And "a centaur is still limited to one pair of boots, one pair of gloves, and so on, despite having an extra pair of limbs."

Feh. You played saturday, you ingrateful whiner. And if you didn't twinkiclassed into rogue and ranger in order to get Ambi-TWF, sneak attacks, and trap detection; you wouldn't lag behind in raw magical powers. :p

Ah, the case of the centaur is a bit special. Boots, even more than gloves, are not individual items. You don't wear "one boot and another", but "a set of boots". A centaur would, IMHO, need 4 horseshoes to have an effect, unless the item allows an exception.
