Saving the Samurai?

Maybe we could make a revision of the OA Samurai to 3.5 here.

I think Dragon mag already did, but I'm not sure which issue it was.

For the OA Samurai, I've been thinking about doing away with the Gp or Xp cost, and making the magical bonuses unportable. The magic of the weapon would be a function of the bond between the Samurai and their ancestral weapon. In the hands of anyone else it's simply a masterwork weapon. The Xp cost would only come into play if the weapon is destroyed, forcing the Samurai to "relearn" what they knew, with a new weapon of the same type.
