Saving Throw DC's from scrolls?

If you use a scroll, you don't use your own caster level for the effects, but us the minimum required for the spell.

What about the DC for the saving throw? Do you only add the ability modifier that would be the minimum required, or can you use your own? Example: a sorcerer with a Charisma of 22 using a scroll of weird. Would the DC be 23 or would it be 25?

What if the sorcerer was a gnome? would it increase the DC by 1? If the character had spell focus (illusion) would it raise it by another?

Well, you CAN scribe a scroll at whatever level you want (while respecting the minimum caster level and your own caster level as maximum) but the scroll will cost more to scribe, since the price depends on the caster level.

I found this quote in the SRD:

Magic items produce spells or spell-like effects. For a saving throw against a spell or spell-like effect from a magic item, the DC is 10 + the level of the spell or effect + the ability modifier of the minimum ability score needed to cast that level of spell.
Staffs are an exception to the rule. Treat the saving throw as if the wielder cast the spell, including caster level and all modifiers to save DC.

which seems to suggest that you always use the minimum ability score necessary to cast the spell in question. I doubt that feats and racial abilities can add to the DC of a scribed scroll...

Hm... if I were to scribe scrolls with my Wisdom-Penalty Favored Soul... it would increase the DCs a good amount. :)

Cool.

...I don't quite see how that's possible, considering you can't cast a spell if you don't have a high enough ability score to cast it, and you can't make a magic item of a spell if you can't cast the spell. And considering that the ability score for a scroll is the minimum required to cast a spell, there's no way to do what you just said.

...Or did I miss something?

Favored soul uses charisma to determine the level and number of bonus spells you can cast, but Wisdom to set the Save DC. The complete books have a few classes that use dual ability scores to cover spell casting.
