Saw Lost for the first time

AAhhh, but i think you missed the point of what i meant. They only show you the page that someone points out to the kid about the polar bear don't they? The make a point of showing you the page onscreen with the bear in full view charging the heroes.
Oh, and yeah it was in spanish btw. :D

Who says that Walt (aka "the kid") can't read Spanish? We don't know about his life (or Michael's) before the crash. One of the things I love about the show is the attempts to bring in other cultures besides US-American to the show, albeit very slightly.

Also, for random information, the line-up for who gets shows in the second half of the season is
Kate, Boone, and Walt/Michael. Also, Jin and Hurley get episodes, probably right after Walt and Michael's episode.

Something I've noticed on Lost that is bugging me

I have never seen them boil any water to make it safe to drink. Now, I have seen every episode and from what I recall they are getting water from a spring that flows through, what I think is, limestone. I know limestone is one of nature's best filters, but would Jack, since he is a doctor, not want to make sure the water was safe to drink by boiling it. They do have the option, because they do have fire. The boiling of water may happen off camera, but water would be important enough for the survivors that you should see it done on camera at some point.

P.S. I am a new poster to the boards, but I have been reading them for awhile. Hope everyone has safe and Happy Holiday season.

Only thing i really noticed with the polar bear was the fact that just before it shows up, the kid is reading a comic book that has a polar bear and then the bear shows up. That seems to much of a coincidence that he would find a comic with the very next thing that 'manifests' on the island and attacks them doesn't it?

My feeling is that the comic book was a instruction manual for the island, the 'heros' in it are from the crash...Locke's words keep coming back to me, "You are The Healer, I am The Hunter". Aspects? The kid is luck, Charlie is music...the others, I just don't know. ;)

Well Welcome to EnWorld Bbrough.

I was think along the same lines as Darthjaye. That the Island is alive and manifest the people fears or wishes. KId was thinking it would be scary to run into a Polar Bear, you see one. I the cockpick all were scarried of running into the monster, and they did.

But I am only speculating on 2hours of show. Ill get back to on Wed night.
;)

I just got around to watching #7 (The Moth (Charley's Story)) and #8 (Confidence Man (Sawyer's Story)) last night. Very interesting. Locke is certainly turning out to be an interesting character, and what we know about Sawyer now... wow. Now I have #1 and #2 to finally see.

I've read some of what the producers have said about the show and it only makes me wonder what really is going on. They've said that there is a logical explanation for everything. No, the thing in the forest is not a dinosaur. No, they're not dead, they haven't gone back in time, and they have not been kidnapped by aliens. If I remember the specific denials they've given out.
