Scarred Lands: Ghelspad Worth It?

think im sold on it

well, I think you guys have convinced me. As much as I love homebrewing settings, I dont really have the time to make a new setting and Scarred Lands seems rather appealing right now. Thanks a lot with all the advice, feel free to keep posting information about the Scarred Lands for any other readers that might be interested in reading what the setting has to offer. Many thanks again,

Thanks Joseph! :) I'm glad you reposted that report again.

Btw Graf, I do agree, I wish the race stuff was in the SLCS, remember they'd probably have to cut out some of the more interesting parts in the book.

rootbeer, glad you found what you're looking for. :) If you need any help, email me and/or any of the guys here.

Another Convert

Yes, Nightfall was again successful in his conversion of all to the holier of holy places, excuse my spelling, Scarred Lands.

When will this madness end, tune in next week, same Night time, same Night station...

*evil laugh* It will be long time until the Nightfall show goes off the air. I'll even run a pirated TV station to broadcast my show! ;)

Heck, I'll be a guest on your show Nightfall. I've been running a pretty good Scarred Lands game for a couple of months - and your suggestions had a lot to do with it, I think.

Heh.

While Ghelspad pretty much leaves me cold (sorry Nightfall), I'm really looking forward to the Termana gazateer.

Joseph, if you're listening - I seem to recall reading somewhere that the Termana gaz. would have the relevent racial write-ups in it. Am I completely mad?

tsadkiel,

Not a problem. One thing I REALLY like about the Scarred Lands IS the fact there's probably enough continents to suit some people's taste. Heck even I'M looking forward to see what secrets and intrigues are on the continent of Termana. Asherak too I want to see more of, since the Exemplars hail from there.

Crim, glad I can be of help. But I'd like to point out others too have good ideas. Some like JPS, on the S&SS and even some from our own editors and writers helped a lot shape this place. I'm just glad you're having fun Crim. :)

OK, I'm chiming in a bit late here, but yes: The Ghelspad setting is well worth it.

It was the entrant I was most impressed with in the ENnies this year.

For the folks on opposite sides of the Fluff/Crunch debate on the board I'll tell you right now: I liked it for it's Fluff:)

LOL! :) Yeah what I liked about it too. Good Fluff and while the crunch isn't the same as the FRCS, it still got a good crunch nonetheless.

Btw, heyla Teflon my friend! :) Yes I hope it wins...but I fear you know. I think the Bean Counters might be buying off people. ;)
