[Scarred Lands]Help me make my character!

Well, we may be playing at another place half the month.

During that time, someone else will be running a game.

I'll be playing! Yea!

I'm trying to avoid stepping on anyone's toes as far as character concept. Probably won't work as we have more than four players. Some suggestions I've seen them make thus far.

B: Mage

M: Warrior type.

T: Monk

Be: Ranger/Cleric

I'm thinking of a Magister from Arcana Evolved, but that's going to step on the mage's toes big time. The other option is a rogue. I haven't played a rogue for a while.

Where are you located in Scarn?

My group has two mages, but one is an elf from Termana and the other is a necromancer from Hollowfaust - neither steps on the other's toes...

You could twist things up a bit and play an Archivist (Heroes of Horror book & free on WOTC website) who hails from Hollowfaust. The class seems a good fit for that culture, and you will have the freedom to be a little creative with the whole concept because HoH came out much later than the Scarred Lands stuff.

Play a charduni dwarf damage-sponge.

 

[Nightfall]

Joe, Paladins are a good choice for a warrior type in the Scarred Lands.

Rangers, obviously a good choice as well.

If you go rogue, might want to consider using the contact rules from the Player's Guide.

Another option, depending on how you want this to play out, Brother of the Crimson Temple is one option as you can easily adapt it to Yu-tain types.
