[Scarred Lands] The Revised Creature Collection?

Earth, dunno I think you might be right. I do know that a reliable source mentioned to me they are pushing back the first player's guide. Why I don't know.

too many products probably... I have noticed that many companies are getting so many licenses now that it could lead them to trouble. Mongoose got three I think, MEG got three, S&SS got another one or two, and all this has caused is a great many delay's in the production of what is or was already supposed to have been out.

I like all the products, but if a company gets a license, they should already have a plan to keep their already listed products on schedule, or else wait on the license.

or maybe I am looking at things from a totally different viewpoint and I may be wrong, but......I think you guys know where I am coming from on this.

You might be right. I dunno. What I do know is they are pushing back a lot of products. I just hope that means I have the cash for them.

No, it isn't because we have new licenses.

Let me pose you these questions:

1. What was Creature Collection best known for?

2. What other big event happens just before GenCon Indy 2003?

History repeats itself, or so we hope. ;)

I do not hope history repeats too much.

CC1 was also famous for its bogus rules and bad pics. :(

I thought CC was famous for being out before the Monster Manual.

In fact it was so rushed out it suffered from lots of critters that didn't fit the design rules of 3rd Edition.

So is the plan to rush CCR out before the revised MM and have loads of critters that don't suit the revised D&D rules?

Aww Man!

Sword and Sorcery are releasing a revised CC?
Profiteering mongrels, they just did this to sell more books.
They are out to get us gamers. I probably wont buy it.
Especially if it changes the monsters too much.
Man thats all White Wolf Cares about, profit.
Why are they doing this to us. This is going to wreck my campaign!

SARCASM OFF

This is what the B&Ming over the core rule books sounds like to me.

I acknowledge the need to revise the CC, as it has two strong flaws yet is full of interesting ideas; however I was really disappointed by the revision not being able to download as errata.

It's just a bunch a statblocks with sometimes a picture, none of the flavor text would need to be present. They may even omit from the statblocks the unmodified entries (like, if the ability scores are unchanged, no "Abilities" line). That could not be used by 3v1l w4rez d00dz wanting to access the beasties without paying the books, and that would not leave a bad taste to those who have bought CC1.

WotC will present the rule changes for free on the SRD (except possible rule changes on character creation and progression).

What CC1 was famous for was releasing stuff BEFORE the MM book came out. As for the big event, it is the Revision of the Core Books.

Bag, the exact opposite I believe. Joseph is saying that they are holding off until after MM Revised comes out. THEN CC Revised will come out.

Gez, I know you and I have argued over this but again I point the feasibitily of such a thing. The errata would probably be as big as the original book itself. Plus the fact they are cutting out a few of the monsters from CC 1 because they are now updated to other parts. Not to mention the appendixes, templates...it's just easier to do it this way.
