I have NO IDEA how much this will cost. I can always email Russ and ask him how much it cost him (including the breakdown of airfare vs hotel), but I think he'll get suspicious.

More importantly, how do we get this working? Can we create some kind of "cash repository" where people can donate and then ship it all to Russ? Is there something like this already on-line? And can it be done without PayPal? (I boycott PayPal... although I had to create a PayPal account again just to buy my membership to the boards... my feeling that we should be supporting Russ is stronger than my gut-wrenching HATRED for PayPal).

BTW - I am talking GenCon Indy here. After all, he hosts the bloody ENnies at GenCon, he should be getting there free.

What a great idea. The questions is will there be any airlines left by next summer?

Anyway there is always one concern, what happens if the funds / donations fall short of a new plane ticket. If money collected was not enough we could:

1. Pay for part of his airline ticket
2. Pay for part of his hotel
3. Donation to EN World
4. Buy him a hooker (Ok, I am out of ideas)

OK this is one helluwa idea Jason, count me in I'll chip in everything I make from webworks this month (currently it stands at $100) Russ shouldn't have to pay for his plane ticket this time (I was invited aswell but couldn't afford the plane ticket either but that is life)

I will donate the sum I earn now in December but in December I need this extra money for christmas gifts, so I hope it is OK if I send the sum in Feburary instead?

If it doesn't quite cover the ticket, I'm sure he'll cover the rest. After all, he paid for it himself out of pocket last year.

If it REALLY doesn't come close to covering the ticket, I'll PERSONALLY go knocking on the doors of the other small d20 publishers and have my friend Guido convince them that they REALLY should be pitching in at least as much as I am.

It's also possible that he's already getting his trip to GenCon paid for this next year.
