Wow. A serious little thread has developed here. Cool! And al I was trying to do was draw a humerous comparison that like-it-or-not it wasa statement about wrestling being nothing other than science fiction!
My original post might have been poorly interpreted, though. In general I love Sci-Fi. They occasionally come out with really good dragon movies. As has previously been mentioned, Eureka, SG1, SGA, BSG, and Doctor Who are the shows I actually turn on the TV for that aren't sports.
Unfortunate, though, that Billy Piper quit after Doctor Who's second "season." She quit for the same reason that Christopher Eccleston quit. They didn't want to be type-cast. My wife tells me this is a common occurance for Brittish television, and that the 13 episodes that were done for Doctor Who's second season was actually alot for a typical Brittish show. That is simply amazing to those of us used to American programming where the dream is to land something like Friends, Star Gate, or JAG that goes for well over a decade.
I may watch Doctor Who, because I absolutely love the show. But the thought of having half the main stars gone after the first season and the other half gone by the end of the second season? I dunno. We'll see how I feel in 13 episodes I suppose. Shame, cause that show rocks!
