Scoop on D20 Future

The die-hard fans have a grudge with Wizards, for going with the d20 System for all of their RPG products and ditching Alternity System behind. So they're sticking with Alternity instead of giving d20 Modern an open-minded chance.

Yep, and these same die-hard Alternity types have also shunned D&D 3/3.5 and continue to gleefully play AD&D 2nd edition. You'll take away their Player's Option books when you pry them from their cold, dead hands...

Lots of ;)

Well, it is actually a lot easier to do than their warm, living hands. Hehehe.

Where are these die-hards? I'm not trying to be argumentative, just curious as I haven't seen much of this attitude at all.

They're out there, just not in huge numbers. Count me as an Alternity lover, before d20 came in and stole our hearts, had d20 not become as prevalent as it did, my group would be playing Alternity to this very day...

It was a very good rules system, with plausible and playable damage rules, armor and armor penetration rules, and some jam-up source material. I ran a Star*Drive Campaign about a Renegade Bill Gates Artificial Intelligence that my players enjoyed immensely, and we were as of Winter of 1999/2000 even working on a Fantasy Alternity Rules system.
