Scribe scroll question

Let's say my level cleric writes a scroll of cure light wounds : it cures 1d8+1 hp and costs 12,5 gp and 1 xp.

My friend's cleric has acces to the healing domain and wants to create a scroll of cure light wounds. When he casts the spell, it cures 1d8+2 hp. How much does the scroll cure? If it cures 1d8+2 hp, are the gp and xp costs the same?

Thanks!

I would say that your friend's cleric would be able to write a CLW scroll at a caster level one higher than he currently is.
That means that when he's at first level he can scribe a second level CLW scroll, which cures 1d8+2 hp, for 2xp and 25gp. Juast as if he were second level or higher.

I tend to agree, but what happens when we're both 5th level? My CLW cures 1d8+5, his cures 1d8+6. However, a CLW cannot be cast as a 6th level since the limit is normally 1d8+5.

If he's fifth level, then he casts CLW as if he were sixth level. However, the cap at 1d8+5 still applies, so that's what it cures.

CLW can be cast as if by a sixth level of higher cleric, it just doesn't do anything more then if a fifth level caster cast it.
