Scrying Wars? Divination Spells & Clairsentient Powers

From the impression I get most PCs don't use much in the way of many divination spells or clairsentient powers simply because they don't have any direct uses in combat.

Yeah I know there's some differences between the divination school and the clairsentience discipline, but they're very similar with many spells and powers almost being the same. Divination is mainly more information gathering based with some spells that ask questions, while Clairsentience seems to be more combat/skill based with all those powers which can apply insight bonuses to attacks/damage/skill/saves and some damage dealing powers.

So I'm trying to gather strategies and best uses for all of those various information gathering spells and powers. Things for PC and NPC Diviners and Seers to do. Especially for NPCs, because to my knowledge a diviner or seer who belongs to an organization can effectively hound the PCs constantly unless they start becoming really paranoid and using Detect Scrying/ Remote Viewing, Nondection or Escape Detection every day. If the PCs are enemies with someone who uses a lot of scrying they can be attacked at any time, especially when they're guard is down.

I'm guess I'm looking for good uses of each of the individual spells and powers. And then after that good strategies to attack or make ones life very miserable.

We got out of such spells and powers, that I can think of now:

Clairvoyance/Clairaudience or Clairvoyant Sense

Scrying or Remote Viewing

Prying Eyes

Discern Location

Metafaculty

Locate Person or Object
 

Don't forget Hypercognition. This is the psionic equivalent of vision, only without the XP cost and with *clear* answers. It's a little more limited in use, depending on your interpretation, though.

Also trace teleport, divination, detect remote viewing.
 

Scry-Buff-Teleport.

Information gathering spells like contact other plane or commune can tell you what kind of attack forms are best, when the best time to strike is, etc.
 

I'm thinking there's some effectiveness in having squads of minions scour a city you know your targets are in while keeping in contact using Mindlink or Rary's Telepathic Bond. That way the shorter range spells and powers would work better. Though it's not as outright shocking as having a squad of minions teleport in. I guess there's also some use for using a familiar in this situation as well.

So, what level is Hypercognition?

As for scrying and such, you need Greater Scrying for any real useful observation.
 

Hypercognition is an 8th level Seer power. It has a more general possibly serving as vision, find the path, or give a +20 bonus to an intelligence check.
