Kip tries and tries, but he can't seem to possess even one of the city guards, it seems strange that this is so. He doesn't detect it's from a magical protection of some kind...so what could it be?
Meanwhile, a blue, transparent wave of light surrounds the atmosphere, raining down across the land, disappearing only moments after it arrived as it sparkles down to the ground.
Seconds before it washes over him, Mysliwy vanishes, leaving Xert and Melchiah alone together in the field.
Conner feels his presence on this Material hold, and even bind. Kip finds himself whole again, and lands softly with a thud to the ground. Several city watchman begin to circle around him, looking neither curious nor surprised. Indeed, they seem happy, joyful, even.
Melchiah floats above the ground as the earth ruptures around the glade, creating fissures in the earth, Xert manage to steady themselves versus the
Earthquake, but that's all he does within those crucial six seconds.
They find themselves besieged from an invisible force. Melchiah notices it came from the sky, a fierce creature made from roaring winds descends and attacks the arcane angel with unnatural speed. (13 damage) (1 GEE, 10 ft. above Xert)
He's got his own troubles, though, from underneath him, four elemental forms appear, surrounding his sides, two of them large, and two of them huge. One of the larger ones manages to get a minor blow against the halfling (9 damage after DR). A pair of large arms attempts to get a hold of Melchiah, but he manages to retaliate, hitting it with his claw bracers (18 damage) (GEE below him and #1-2 HEEs, and #1-2 LEEs, 10' around him)
From below Xert, 4 more elementals appear, surrounding him, 2 large and 2 huge. They attack the angel with fierce might, dealing glances blows left and right. (All 4 hit, 0 damage from the large EEs, reduced from 44, 39 from the huge ones) (#3-4 HEEs, and #3-4 LEEs around him)
