OOC-the other PC's actions are inconsequential as of the lead hag dying, so I'm forwarding the game accordingly.
The bone-white dagger does its work as the soul of Agatha is drawn into it. Then, the arcane angel passes, and with him, time also seems to cease.
Time reappears back in a moment and he is infront of Hyanda, "Very well, done, very well done indeed." He mentions idly as a blasting sound can be heard far off next to the altar as M'jekk and Synthis are both assaulted with two meteor swarms each, rendering them both dead. The Shadow of Jack is no where to be seen, even to Hyanda, instead, Jack awakes back within the astral fortress of Luz'Noc, back to his human self.
"However..." The fiendish arcane angel adds, "Luz Noc has informed me that only two good-hearted individuals in this group remain yet standing-and with four targets of the covey, including the child." The angel intones, "You have failed to complete your mission."
At least they stopped the ritual that would mark the child as a hag and set her destiny, for she has a different fate in the mind of the master. As to what it is exactly, I am unsure of. He ponders.
Sighing, with an attitude as if he knew this would happen all along, he remarks, "You did impress the master, however, and take care of one of his enemies, perhaps you shall do better in your next task? After all, you are still in debt for not successfully completing this one." He turns his back on perhaps what might be an enraged celestial, but then everyone left on the battlefield vanishes or is dead-the heroes return to their imprisonment before they can move another muscle.
All that is left is a crying baby, a bone-white dagger, and the treasure the hags possessed. Xert picks up all of them methodically, and his form vanishes from all sight as well.
Consequently, all of the heroes except for Jack, participating in this battle do not remember a thing about it by the time their next mission is assigned...
End of Prologue
Rewards:
Hyanda receives 1 fate point for killing Agatha.
No EXP gained (test battle and no actual risk)
