Also, Hasbro would fight tooth and nail to keep D&D. The product is a proven name, every edition outsells all other RPGs, it is 20 years old and starting to take its place next to other hasbro properties such as clue, monopoly and others. They won't put their name on it, but Hasbro has a pretty impressive toy box, and I think they want to keep D&D in it.

I know companies like having their 'secrets' out of their clients ears, but it's very bizarre. Why all those layoff in WotC since last year? Why do they lay off the guys who created D&D 3e? It seems D&D 3e sells well, very well, so why almost all its authors are out WotC today? Why?
