D&D 5E Secrets of the Shining Knight. Full Plate Armor

Thanks for the heads up. I just watched it and quite enjoyed it. The blue steel of the final breastplate is beautiful.

Also really interesting how the bullet dented the placard, but really didn't get through to the breastplate. At fairly close range too. The knight would definitely reach the shooter before they could reload.

Yep that blue was so pretty. The skill in the etching was also good glad you liked it. Just randomly found it last night.

Keep in mind when talking about how good heavy armour is that Fighters are not allowed to have nice things and if they do you will make grognards cry. ;P

I'm kind of a grognard lol. OSR fighters tend to be better than modern incarnations and the class peaked around 2E/ BECMI circa 1991.

If the 5E one picked up an extra save or two and had advantage on all saved that's close to a older one. Or was proficient in all saves. Paladin's get that aura may as well give fighters proficiency in all saves.

I enjoyed that documentary and as others mentioned, the blue breast plate was amazing. I had just finished a platemail figure on foot - I'll have to save the blue for the next one!
