Semi Tractor/Trailer Vehicle Stats?

Chaldfont

First Post
Has anyone made these? I was surprised to see that they were not in either the book or the web enhancement.

I am looking for stats with and without a trailer.

Try a Huge vehicle without the trailer, Gargantuan or possibly Colossal with. Best I can do on short notice. -2 to both Init/Manuverability without a trailer, and -4 with the trailer. Possibly -6 to manuverability with the trailer, to reflect the difficulties of handling such a heavy and large object attached to the end of your vehicle. Anyone else got any ideas?

Here's what I came up with on a different thread:

Mack Truck w/ trailer
Crew 1
Pass 2
Cargo 34,000 lb.
Init -8
Maneuver -8
Top Speed 158 (16)
Defense 2
Hardness 5
Hit Points 55
Size Colossal
Purchase DC 34
Restriction Lic (+1)
Face: 2x12 squares

Here's a trucker to go with that truck. He's based on a character I played a year ago in a one-shot home-grown game. That character was loosely based on Jack from Big Trouble in Little China.

Nash (Tough 3): CR 3; Medium-size Human; HD 3d10+12; hp 33; Mas 16; Init +3; Spd 30 ft.; Defense 16, touch 13, flat-footed 13 (+3 Dex, +2 class, +1 leather jacket); BAB +2; Grap +3; Atk +4 melee (1d6+1 nonlethal, unarmed strike) or +5 ranged (2d8, 12-gauge shotgun) or +5 ranged (4d6, fragmentation grenade); SV Fort +5, Ref +4, Will +1; AP 6; Rep +1; Str 13, Dex 16, Con 16, Int 14, Wis 10, Cha 13.
Occupation: Blue Collar (bonus class skills: Drive, Intimidate, Repair).
Talents: Robust, Damage Reduction 1/-.
Skills: Craft (mechanical) +4, Drive +12, Gamble +2, Intimidate +8, Knowledge (streetwise) +6, Profession +4, Read/Write English, Repair +7, Speak English.
Feats: Brawl, Personal Firearms Proficiency, Simple Weapons Proficiency, Surface Vehicle Operation (heavy wheeled), Vehicle Expert.
Possessions: Cell phone, mechanics toolkit, pool cue, deck of cards, pack of cheap cigars, rabbit?s foot keychain, jug of moonshine, black duffel bag, zippo decorated with US flag, 12-gauge shotgun with 20 shells, 6 unlicensed fragmentation grenades, leather jacket, tattoos: US flag on right bicep, "mudflap naked lady" on left inside forearm.

The PCs could be hired to hijack Nash's cargo. If he get's in trouble, maybe ole Nash'll try to toss a grenade into a PCs open car window.

Cool. Nice work. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. One thing though. The current total of 55 has more hit points than a Soviet APC, and almost as much as a Bradley! I don't think any truck is that tough. Perhaps the hit points of the truck and it's trailer should be tracked seperately. Maybe 36/25 hit points? Tell me what you think.

Thats actually a pretty good idea. I figured that might be a better solution but I got lazy this morning. I was looking at the Hummer as a starting point for the tractor w/o trailer. Though I think it needs some beefing up. My money is on the Semi tractor in a Semi/Hummer head on collision.

Another reason to track hp separately is to see if any precious cargo is damaged as the trailer gets smacked up. Players might have be more careful if they want the goodies inside.

Or gas. After all, they do carry cargos other than bulk cargo. Like liquid natural gas, oil, various other explosive compunds... Oh the evil possibilites :D . As for collisions, you can represent that by stacking the dice. Add modifiers to represent the sheer mass and inertia of the semi. That sort of thing is better handled by a circumstance penalty, IMO.
