Serenity DVD on Dec. 20th!

That's kind of sad. Usually quick releases on DVD like this are because the movie did poorly.

That's what it meant two years ago, these days to fight piracy DVDs are coming out a lot faster

Yupe, there even some talk right now, about releasing DVDs on the same day as a Movie is released in theaters.

A lot of people don't like that idea, simply, why pay to see on the big screen, when you can see it at home, on the day of release. Movie theaters will suffer. It would help curb piracy, but someone else, legit wise will be hurt.

No, it was that movie with a whiny guy dressed in black who got chopped up and burned at the end.

People wait in line overnight for that garbage and see it 30 times but didn't go see Firefly. I saw it 3 times for good measure.

Well rock and/or roll. I was bummed that it didn't make more money in the theater but man is that sucker going to look nice on my self right next to the Firefly boxed DVD set. :D

Which explains why Universal wouldn't want to put Serenity up against it.

Why not? They predicted that way back on Spaceballs!

I'll pass on this one. Wasn't too thrilled with the movie.

Will be getting the D&D movie, however. Much more entertaining, IMO.

I saw that four times, a friend of mine 3 times. Even did the midnight showing! :D

Only saw Serenity once. With a group of friends.

I was going to see it a second time, but my fiance is pushing for a chick flick the next time we go to the theatre, and the buddy I was going to see it with got sent to France by his boss for a while. Not sure if the movie will still be in theatres by the time he gets back, though he was interested in seeing it.
