Are those EM4 figs sold anywhere in America?
Well the homepage is just asking one pound each on the snakemen.

http://www.em4miniatures.com/acatalog/Dunwich_Detectives.html

So thats kinda reasonable. Shipping should not be thaaat painful.

The Servitor of the Other Gods figs looked real good.

Some of those dunwich detectives figs were in their older Metal Magic blisters in the discount mini rack at games plus. Not sure what of them is left though. Definitely not very big minis.

D&D Miniatures has several yuan-ti and one Ophidian, any of which should be good enough minis for the Freeport serpent people. (The Yuan-Ti Swiftscale from the starter set is particularly nice, and the Yuan-Ti Malison from a set ago makes a great archer.) They don't have the elongated necks described, but it's not like that's a vital detail. You should be able to find most of the Medium yuan-ti, and the Ophidian, for a buck or less each.

Crystal Caste sells some of the em4 prepainted lines, but I'm not sure about the rest. IIRC, the shipping on those from the UK was very resonable, like 2-3 $US for about a dozen minis. You can try WarWeb though, they might carry them.

So looking over Freeport and getting together minis for the trilogy and wondering... should I just use lizard men for the snake men? Are there any serpent men minis?
There is an uncommon from the Aberrations set (#60 Yuan-Ti Halfblood). If you are interested in the RAFM Reptiliads, I have some that are sort of painted which I am willing to part with.

I was just running the original trology myself and I used a mix of Yuan-ti and ophidians for my serpent folk.

Somewhat larger than the Metal Magics/EM4 figs.

The Auld Grump, who also has the single(?) serpent person that Grenadier made.

Those minis would be perfect for the Freeport serpent folk!

Not a coincidence, both the Call of Cthulhu and Freeport Serpent Folk are based on the works of Howard Phillips Lovecraft. :) Heck, a lot of Freeport is based on HPL.

The Auld Grump, one of the reasons I like the setting....

Just hopped up to Games Plus today and they had 2 ten packs for the Death in the Darkness game at the original 1999 prices of $19.95. So now I've got twenty serpent men. Well, 14 really as 6 of the buggers look more like sinks for Warhammer Lizardmen armies but that's another story.
