Servant of Time (Epic Prestige Class)

His own. No one really understand what Talamar does or all the things he may or may not be responsible for. He does seem to help the world in small ways. For instance in last nights game one of the party members was visited by him. He asked that they travel to the south and give someone a ride on their ship across the sea. The person that they gave the ride to had no idea why Talamar requested this and was very shaken by the idea that a god requested someone giver him a ride. But they dropped him off and both went on their merry way. It's small stuff that usually needs done for the big stuff to happen.

Did your players wonder about what they'd done to this guy? :) Pebbles that start avelanches and all...

I did think of something else:

Either duplicate the haste 2/day ability with a slow 2/day ability... Or let the character choose between them... so it'd be haste or slow 2/day total.

Think it fits with the time manipulation feel...

Ya, they are wondering what is going on with the guy, but he honestly doesn't know and they have other things to do.

Haste or slow does sound good.

Two books that deal with time powers are (Chronomancer TSR 9506) and (Chronomancy MGP 1009). They are good to give you ideas dealing with time.

I got mine from Amazon.com, I got a used one from their new and used section on the Chronomancy page.

One thing I didn’t like and disagree with in the books is that they tried to fix it so that you cannot go back and change the past except for very rare circumstances(It should be hard but not impossible, especially with a powerful character). This defeats the whole purpose of having time powers I think (I do understand why they did it; DM’s heads would explode trying to figure out all the consequences your change would bring).

With that being said I do think there is one rule that should be followed no matter what. Never, and I mean NEVER allow a character to physically touch herself in the past. This will obliterate herself and cause one hell of a paradox (This idea was used in Time Cop and many stories). I think that would be a good motivator to avoid your past self as much as possible.

Also if you are like me and like anything related to time travel, a game that you might want to see if you can find is Shadow of Destiny for PC/PS2. A interesting game that shows how much pain time travel can be, how hard it is to escape your fate, paradoxes…etc..etc. Just a thought. It had an interesting story.

I meant I bought Chronomancer from Amazons in the used and new area on the Chronomancer page, Not chronomancy. Having trouble loading the edit page so thats why I added this.

That's cool. I"m not going to use the time travel bit much at all. More then likely they weill remain in the present and work for a future. I think time travel should be a rare and special thing even for a servant of the god of time, so I'm going to limit it in the campaign.
