Funny I downloaded the mod as well to explore when the server was down. I never got very far in that either.

I like Chainmail but there are definatley still issues. Main sticking points for me were:
1)Spawns not apropriate to level.
2)I think they go to far on the low magic. A 7th level char shouldn't have a problem finding magic armour or weapon. This could be remideed by forges in towns.

Eh? Now I'm confused. You were saying in the other thread that CHAINMAIL was (and I quote) "no fun" -- and you don't want PoA, either? Is there a third module you had in mind, or am I completely misunderstanding your feelings on the matter?

Well all your work is appreciated.

So what do I like better? It is hard to say. Don't like the bugs in Chainmail, but do like the newness/vast areas to explore. I have seen most of POA many times, but would like the opp. to finish it (if it is possiable). Some of the things that I didn't find fun were minor in the relm of things.

That new quest item box was cool. We should implement that in POA, and not allow the rogues to steal quest items from there... (I don't think my character has anything left as far as quest items go.)

I would say do a poll. That way you know for sure, cause some of the comments are just that comments on possiable areas to fix.

Sorry Morrus... My bad. I did complain to much about beta 3 then I should have. I was disapointed in the reduction of spawn, and some xp elements. I guess I had hoped that beta 3 would be the same as B2 but more stable. Once I got over that and thought about it I realized that it is more fair to lower lev chars now and thats a good thing.

To sum up:
1. sorry I was a whiner
2. I do like elements of beta 2 better than 3... but 3 is more fair for all players so I will get over it.
3. Chainmail in any form has much better possibilities than POA... In my opinion(which might be worthless )
4. Thanks very much for all you have done and continue to do no matter what.

I liked chainmail alot. However I look forward to the stability of POA.

Well im going to make the best of it. I took and removed gear from my lower level chars in POA so that if/when we start up CHAINMAIL again I will be able to play my lower lev chars once more.

My char Chazman was instantly zipped away to encumbria on entering POA due to all the gems and other items(90+ over the limit) needed for CHAINMAIL. I do wish I could get a reasonable price for the jade teeth I have... the encumbria witch will only give me chump change for them. But im not selling off items I want to keep for CHAINMAIL so im stuck.

If anyone wants to buy jade teeth from me for a more fair price let me know... you will have to meet me in encumbria(get a bunch of quartz crystals or something).

I will keep checking back. Hope to play CHAINMAIL again soon. Even at its worst, CHAINMAIL is superior to POA.
