Oh man, I just had a bad flashback to the movie "Waterworld".

Hmmm. D20 Waterworld. You play Kevin Costner's character and each round you have to make an unskilled Perform: Acting check to keep other players from walking out of the game in disgust.

Salutations,

I am currently running a water-world campeign, but mine is above water.

Quick summary a roman-like empire took over the world long ago and some how a war broke out between them and the Marid- who promptly flooded the planet.

Numerous lands survived- the oriental lands are on the backs of turtles- so they just floated up. The arabian-like lands used their own access to genie magic to rise their lands. The elven lands tapped into their legends to rise with the waves- most others are reduced to what were previously mountains.

The freeport adventures from Green Ronin are pretty good for a nautical campeign.

Good luck!

Just a side note: Earth is about 70% water, so even a 90% water-based world will still have 1/3rd the landmass we are accustomed to.

My homebrew is a gigantic single continent with a few archipelegos. Most of the PC action takes place on the northern island chain.
