For Urbis, I'd say it is Progress - Civilization is fast moving away from a medieval society, and while old ways of life crumble, new ones take their place - not always for the better. Among the upper classes, everyone knows just how the "perfect society" can be built. To the regret of many people, they often get to try...

A good section choice would be Cities, but that's both too obvious and too vague... ;)

I think for 'Midnight' (FFG) the word is Hope, evil's already won and things look bad but there are still heroes out there trying to fight back.
Yep, and that's the best way to approach this setting. It shouldn't be the despair of Ravenloft that someone mentioned... OK, maybe just a little.... ;)

I would also like to think that Dawnforge is entitled to the appellation, Wonder.

My choice for FR would be Saturated, personally. More magic than you can shake a Rod of Wonder at (which everyone and his blink dog seems to have in FR... and everyone has a blink dog...)

Ah here we go, there's always one...

*waits for the inevitable FR v. Kalamar debate.*

I like
Wonder for FR,
Balance for Dragonlance,
Belief for Planescape,
Conflict for Scarred Lands,
Despair for Ravenloft,
Hope for Midnight,
Believeability for Kalamar,
Comprehensive for Greyhawk

for some others,

Dark Sun: Waste. The planet's destroyed state is due to the wasted potential that the people and the Sorcerer Kings pursued.

Spelljammer: Frontier. The general mishmash and lawlessness and conglomeration of cultures reminds me both of Star Trek and Wagon Train all in one.

Eberron: Pulp. The magitechnical nature, the world-spanning conbeniences put in place, the feel of hope and despair on the tail-end of a major war, make me feel like a Lost World of Dinosaurs or a Juggernaut with Running-Boards on the sides would not be out of place. :)

Kalamar... that one of those non-WotC worlds, right? I've heard the name, but that's about it.

It IS an official D&D world, (got the D&D logo and everything), but it wasn't written by WotC, and had its start years before as a generic setting by Kenzer & Company.
