Setting Secrets to be Revealed

What are Khyber marks? Do you mean aberrant marks? As for why aberrant marks are dangerous, look at what abilities you can get with an aberrant mark. IIRC, they're all destructive in nature.

Siberys marks are closely related in them, appearance and genetics to dragonmarks, but are a mystery even to those sages that study the marks for decades. From what I have gathered they are called that because their abilities may be enhanced by unattuned (pure?) Siberys shards. Certainly no intelligence is laying down the truth for anybody.

The only reference I have seen to Khyber marks comes from a passing comment from Keith Baker over on the WotC boards. Something about... wait.. here it is.

Suffice to say that there are legends that before the War of the Mark there were Heirs of Khyber, who possessed powers on the level of those of Heirs of Siberys but far darker and more dangerous. But that was 1,500 years ago, and the stories could simply be tall tales and myth, aberrant marks blown out of proportion.

So there may not have been Khyber marks, but if there were and they come back then I imagine the energies of Eberron will flare up after a while (centuries I bet. Normal dragons have a wonky time perception, let alone one of the First Three) to calm the conflict between Khyber and Siberys again.

I would be stunned speechless if there wasn't a book about the Dragon Marked Houses, and dragon marks, and oodles of new mark-related prestige classes and feats, on the schedule for 2005 or 2006. Beyond Xendrik, it's the biggest element of the setting that screams "more development coming for MEEEEEE" now that the Sharn book is (almost) here.
