Ha ha, cute. But Ilium raises a point.
In my own campaign, the only player I spend a lot of time with is my brother... while I have been harsher in judgements towards his PC than others, I haven't been overly so. And yeah, I have worked his background more into the plot than others, but I defend this simply because I know that in a few levels, his dragon shaman power boost is going to peter out, and I want something that will keep him involved in the campaign. I've also got a story planned for the paladin (he has to build a new church), and catfolk rogue (she'll be investigating the death of catfolk on the island). I still need to come up with something for the goliath, and for our new player... but all in good time.
The moral of the story is, if a GM is aware of the fact that he is giving preferential treatment to another Player, he will stop. If you politely inform the GM of your views, the problem will usually correct itself.
